What does a festival look like that truly believes in the digital-first approach, works in both summer and winter, and still appeals to a large community in times saturated with experiences? An event that combines music, sport and entertainment in a new way with digital and social media experiences? How can this unique setup be created in an urban environment such as the city of Innsbruck or Klagenfurt and sporting nature areas like the Axamer Lizum Alpine region in winter or Lake Wörthersee in summer?
Through advanced IT development, a creative concept and seamless event management in the implementation – all from one source – luna agency was able to create a popular festival: “Conquer the Alps” and “Conquer the Lake” were born. In addition to ski and lake adventures and evening concerts with international DJs like Paul Kalkbrenner, digital and live challenges lay at the heart of these two events. The games were opened! Through these, the participants could collect points in teams and choose the "Conqueror of the Alps" or "the Lake" at the final of each respective festival.
For 10 years, the successful and popular festival series grew to become a fixture, so that in 2019 over 18,000 enthusiastic visitors from all over Europe took part. In addition, a large community was also built up in the online sector, which achieved a total reach of over one million brand impressions on all social media channels in 2019. A targeted influencer campaign in eight major European cities created high-quality content for the community far beyond the event days.
